AZ Delta — Roeselare
At AZ Delta Roeselare, we completed over 300 sanitary units, along with 17 operating rooms (ORs) and 4 cathlabs. Special attention was given to the design of the surgical area, with a working group of surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses closely involved in the planning.
Highlights of This Innovative Project
Most operating rooms are paired, with a shared storage area in between. Patients are transported via an internal corridor, while materials are delivered through an external logistics corridor. Sets and waste are efficiently managed through pass-through cabinets with interlock systems.
Each operating room features:
- Soothing nature photographs on the walls.
- Hygienic white solid-core walls.
This thoughtful design ensures an efficient and comfortable working environment, where both patients and staff can operate optimally.
The surgical area includes:
